The American Immigration Story is an exhibition to assist 4th-6th-grade students in understanding that immigration is at the core of the American identity. Learning the reasons why families leave their homes to emigrate to new places is essential to building empathy and community. Throughout the space, students will be able to interact with personal immigration stories, appreciate family collections and compare these stories to those in different time periods.
